Notes. Sites Limit Kids' Online Social Lives

It's clear that parents are getting more and more concerned about their children and what their online social life is like. Mother, Sarah Winblad, works with computers all day and knows the dangers that they can cause. It's clear that many parents think it's necessary now to block certain sites, or download a search engine such as Glubble, which limits the search and blocks sites that are inappropriate for children 8 to 14 years old. Winblad doesn't think online social networking is a bad thing for adult figures who understand what the dangers are, but for children 8 to 14 years old, she believes certain sites should be blocked. Winblad says she plans to "friend" her daughter after she signs up for MySpace and Facebook.
